Across the open farmland of Port Oneida, old barns remain part of a landscape shaped by generations of work.

Northern Farmstead is a quiet painting of two of those structures, set against the broad fields and distant tree line of Northern Michigan. Loose washes soften the surrounding landscape while simple ink lines hold the barns in place—a small cluster of human-made forms within a much larger expanse.

The painting is less about a particular moment than the enduring character of Port Oneida: open land, useful buildings, and the quiet relationship between the two.

Presented in a warm white matting and Heritage Oak wood frame, Northern Farmstead is a one-of-a-kind work from the Stoney Bend Originals collection.
