High above Providence, Rhode Island, the Industrial National Bank Building rises with a remarkable piece of Art Deco architecture at its crown. Built in 1928, the building is the anchoring part of the city's skyline, though its uppermost details are rarely appreciated from the street below.
WithAbove Providence I wanted to focus on those details. The stepped stonework, geometric forms, and distinctive tower articulated in ink linework and muted watercolor, allowing the architecture to stand on its own. The lower structure gradually fades from view, drawing attention to the craftsmanship high above the city.
Presented in a warm white matting and Heritage Oak wood frame, Above Providence is a one-of-a-kind work from the Stoney Bend Originals collection.
